Meditation for Intuition

Make meditation the art of life, make meditation the science of life, because only with that can you develop intuition, and with intuition you shall not have doubt.

We live in times of great change. The shift into the Aquarian Age requires a great shift in consciousness. No longer is the information we have access to guarded by the powerful few. We now have access to so much information, fake news and real.

To be able to navigate our way through we need to rely less on the limitations of our egos and more on our innate ability for intuition. In many ways the voice of our ego is a great creator of ‘fake news’. It relies on thoughts, which lead to thoughts, which leads to thoughts. Like a Chinese whisper the ego leads us further and further from the truth.

Intuition knows only truth. It is the voice of our heart, the voice of inner knowing. Coming form the neutral mind and driven by the purest love, it has no need to divert from the truth.

In this age it is vital that we hone our ability to connect to truth through our intuition. Fortunately Yogi Bhajan gifted us with many ways to do this.

This simple meditation can be done for as little as 3 minutes a day, or a full 16 minutes to increase the impact. It is as easy as working with your breath.

The 4 stroke breath to build intuition

As with all Kundalini Yoga practice, we start by chanting the Adi Mantra, Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo, 3 times.

Interlace your fingers into Venus Lock with your Jupiter (index) fingers extended and thumbs crossed. Bring your hands up so your finger tips are just under the tip of your nose.

You should be able to see the tip of your Jupiter fingers through eyes one tenth open.

The breath is through an open ‘O’ shaped mouth as you inhale in 4 even strokes. Exhale through the nose in one long breath.

The recommended time for this meditation is 16 minutes. However, Yogi Bhajan told us that “something is better than nothing’ so as little as 3 minutes a day will bring benefits.

To end the meditation inhale and stretch your arms out to the sides with the palms facing up. Hold 20 seconds. Exhale and repeat one more time.

Then inhale and open the fingers and make them like steel. Squeeze all your energy and bring it to your arms.

Exhale and relax.

Reality cannot come to you without intuition.
